Video Streaming

As your local communications provider, we strive to stay up to date with the latest technologies, offering superior services to both our residential and business customers. Now, a high-quality and less-expensive technology exists for watching TV by using an internet connection.

So what is this better, less expensive technology. . . video streaming! Chances are you’ve probably already heard of video streaming and may already be using it for some of your video content. Streaming is watching TV over your internet connection, and now with new applications, you can stream shows on your television set. Due to this, in addition to rising programmer fees, and the increased expense of operating our own TV system, MTC has decided to discontinue MTC’s ADTV and instead, focus our efforts on delivering the best internet experience possible for you to enjoy this new streaming technology. While MTC will no longer be your TV provider moving forward, your new digital picture and sound will be delivered over your MTC Fiber Internet connection! When you combine our high-speed, UNLIMITED internet and managed Wi-Fi with HD-picture, the quality and clarity will surprise you!

Even though this change may seem daunting, those who have already switched to streaming TV have noticed tremendous rewards, one being hundreds of dollars in savings per year. MTC is committed to helping our customers through this transition. With this announcement we are providing you our valued customer, plenty of time to determine the best alternative TV service that best fits your households need. MTC will also be providing customer education, as well as support with choosing and setting up your new streaming service! Below we have shown a MTC ADTV bill in comparison to three streaming services that MTC recommends. To get a personalized side by side comparison simply give us a call.

MTC will be shutting down all sections of our ADTV services throughout the remainder of 2020. We will be contacting you with dates of when your area will be turned off and upcoming trainings and forums. If you’d like to go ahead and start making the switch, contact MTC and we can begin the transition with you personally, qualifying you for a free Roku streaming stick!

MTC has been honored to be your TV provider through the years and looks forward to improving your entertainment experience with our Fiber Internet and Managed Wi-Fi services!
