Manage your phone online

MTC now offers you a new, easy way to manage your phone calls and Voice Mail!

To get started with some of the basic functions of our new online Call Management System, just follow these easy instructions!

Getting Started:

1)      Go to www.MTC4Me.com

2)      Click on the “Manage Your Phone Features & Voicemail” button at the top of the page.

3)      Enter in your telephone number and password and click  ”Login.” If you don’t have a password, give us a call at 897-6200 to get yours!   

4)     Once you have accessed the portal, you can now start personalizing!

Setting up Contacts: 

It is important to add your contacts and groups before setting up the call manager elements. Contacts can be put into groups and even sub groups. For example, one of your contacts may be in a group called FAMILY, as well as a subgroup called SISTERS.

To Add a new contact:

1)      Click “New Contact”  below the contact list.

2)      Fill in any details you want to go with that contact (nickname, phone numbers, job title, etc.)

3)      After you’ve completed the details, click “Save” to submit your changes or “Cancel” to discard them.

To Add a new group:

1)      Click “New Group” below the contact list.

2)      Enter a Group Name and a number for each group.

3)      To add your contacts to the group, check the box in the right column next to their name.

4)      To find the names more quickly type the contacts name in the search box

5)      After you’ve finished adding contacts to the group, click “Save” to submit changes or  ”Cancel” to discard.

Using Call Manager:

This tab lets you decide how your incoming and outgoing calls are handled based on your preferences and includes the following sub tabs: Summary, Rules, Weekly schedule, and Special days.

Summary: This is where you control Call Manager and decide how you want your calls to be handled.

Rules: This is where you create rules that can be applied to different callers. These rules combine with your weekly schedule and special days to delegate your calls based on time and day. 

To create a new rule:

1)      Click “Add New Set of Rules.”

2)      Type in a name for the new set of rules and click “Ok” to save or “Cancel” to discard.

3)      Your new Set of Rules will appear and be highlighted, now click “Add New Rule.”

4)      Here you can specify which contact, contacts, groups or numbers you want this rule to apply, to then click Next

5)     Then, you specify how you want this set of rules to be handled based on your preferences and click “Finish” to save, “Cancel” to discard or “Back” to go to the previous page.

6)      After you have finished you must click “Apply” for that set of rules to start being applied.

Weekly Schedule:  This is where you can decide how your calls are managed in a normal week. You can specify different time periods (For example:  evening, night, morning, lunch, work, etc.) and apply different sets of rules based on these time periods. You can either set up your schedule from scratch, or go off a typical weekly schedule to get started.

To create your weekly schedule from scratch:

1)      If you choose start from scratch, a blank schedule will appear and will allow you to add three new time periods.

2)      Click “Add New Period,” give it a name, and click “Ok” to save or “Cancel” to discard.

3)      From here, click on the schedule and highlight the hours that apply to that period.

4)      Do the same thing for the other two time periods (each will show in a different color).

5)      Click “Apply” to save your schedule changes or  ”Cancel” to discard them.

To create your weekly schedule from a template of “typical” times:

1)      If you choose start from typical, a schedule will appear with three time periods already named and specified.

2)      To rename a period, simply click on the period and then click “Rename,” type a new name and click “Ok” to save or “Cancel” to discard.

3)      To change the times specified for that period simply click on the period until highlighted then click on the schedule to add different times or change existing ones.

4)      Click “Apply” to save your schedule changes or “Cancel” to discard them.

Special Days: This is where you define days that won’t follow the normal weekly schedule (For example: holidays, vacations, etc.)

To add special days:

1)      Simply click on the date or dates to specify them as special days (They will be highlighted in white after selected.)

2)      If you’d like to add public holidays click on “Add Public Holidays.”

3)      Select which set of public holidays you’d like applied and click “Ok” to save or “Cancel” to discard.

4)      Click “Apply” to save or “ Cancel” to discard the changes made to Special Days.

5)      You will specify how calls will be handled on these days on your Summary tab.

Add Services:

You can actually add MTC services online without even calling our office! The services you can add are shown in the left-hand column and will be available to you within 24 hours after you sign up!

To add services:

1)      Click on the desired service (information on that service shows up in the right hand column along with a “Sign Me Up” button.)

2)      Click “Sign Me Up” to add the services.

3)      A confirmation box will pop-up. Just click “Yes” to continue to add the service or “No” to cancel. Standard rates for each calling feature you add will be billed on your next MTC bill.

4)      If you want to remove any services from your line you must contact MTC at 620-897-6200.
