Steve Kruse: Board Chairman
Steve is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and a huge K-State fan. A lifelong resident of Little River, Steve received his BS in Agriculture Economics from Kansas State University. Steve and his wife Debi are the owners of Kruse Farms and Kruse Fertilizer Service, Inc.; Steve and Debi have been married over 35 years and have two grown children. Steve is also a licensed real estate appraiser. Steve has been a member of: Agricultural Retailers Association, Sandstone Heights Nursing Home Board, Kansas Fertilizer and Chemical Association Board, Rice County Economic Development Corporation, Rice County Farm Bureau Board, Little River Lions Club, and was the Finance Chairman for the United Methodist Church. Steve has been a member of the Board since 1999.
Jon Sauer: Vice Chairman
Jon is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and has been on the Board since 1998. Jon is a lifelong member of the Little River community. He has a Bachelors degree in Industrial Arts Education from Fort Hays State University and is a manager for Oneok North System LLC (Pipeline System and Terminals in KS, MO, NE, IA, IL and IN). Jon is married to Laurie, and they have six children. He is a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and he is a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus. Jon holds the office of President for the USD 444 School Board. Past memberships include: GPA (Gas Processors of America), Lions Club, Little River Recreation Commission Board Member, and Charter Board Member of the Little River Community Fund.
Fred Howie, Jr.: Secretary/Treasurer
Fred is the senior member of the MTC Board of Directors joining the Board in 1988. Fred holds the office of Secretary/Treasurer for MTC. He is also a member of the Little River Development Group.
Loren Myers
A lifetime resident of the Little River-Windom Kansas area, Loren is the owner of Fry Oil Company. Loren’s business background is in the field of accounting. He graduated from Sterling College with a BS in Business Administration. Loren is married to Beth, a teacher in the USD 444 school district, and they live out in the country, southeast of Little River. They have two daughters and two grandchildren. When Loren isn’t working he enjoys horses, turkey hunting, boating and fishing. Loren has been on the Board of Directors since 1997.
David Nelson
David has been on the Board of Directors since 1998. A lifelong Little River resident, David and his wife, Debra, have four daughters. David has owned the local grocery store, Garden of Eden, since late 2005, and he also has a family owned farming business. He is highly involved in local activities such as the Little River Community Foundation, CASE Scholarship Committee and the Lions Club. February is a big month in the Nelson family with birthdays for David and the four girls, as well as, their wedding anniversary…

Jeff Porter
Jeff has been on the MTC Board since 2003. He is married to Julie, and they have 6 children. Jeff has lived in Little River area his entire life. Most of Jeff’s professional career has been in agriculture industry. However, Jeff worked several years for Koch Industries at the gas plant in Conway.

Rusty Ramage
Rusty has been a member of the MTC Board of Directors since 2005. After living in Oklahoma and Texas, Rusty returned to his home of Little River. He is married to Candee, and they have a son, Mason. Rusty is a graduate of Beloit Technical College (1987). He is a Corrosion Specialist for Mid-America Pipeline System and the Chairman of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE). Rusty has served on the Board of Directors for the Congregational Church and is also the Assistant Fire Chief of the Little River Fire Department.
